Lightning Fridge is a container for Okanagan-based, singer-songwriter, Jordan Klassen's personal creative endeavors. Jordan is a multi-instrumentalist who is known for his creative writing, impassioned singing, and deft guitar playing. He has been writing and performing music for well over a decade, most notably in the BC-based bluegrass band, Under the Rocks. While Lightning Fridge is a vessel for Jordan's writing, it is powered by a team of loving and talented people that support and collaborate with him. And, these collective efforts are really just getting started! Their debut album Washing Machine (co-produced by Jordan and Kelowna’s renowned Andrew Judah) is scheduled to be released in the fall of 2026, and will be celebrated with a release show at the Metro Hub in Kelowna, BC on November 20th, 2026.

The fridge is full, as they say.
What is Lightning Fridge? Perhaps some sort of metaphor for an every day person that can ground, contain or channel a profound, ethereal energy source. Or, maybe it is a fridge that when you open the door, lightning shoots out.
Either way, or neither way, Lightning Fridge is a moniker unceremoniously bestowed upon Kelowna-based singer-songwriter Jordan Klassen by a good friend of his who was 5 years old at the time.
Like a Lightning Fridge, Jordan's music is somewhat unpredictable and hard to describe, but let’s call it folk music with a few other genres pulsing through its veins, captured and delivered by Jordan in a way that sometimes sends tingles down your spine like lightning and sometimes settles you down, like putting your face in the fridge on a hot day.
